Lowell has ample parking opportunity in all its main districts. When you visit the Canalway Cultural District, our main downtown area, we suggest you take advantage of our public garages. Fees are the same across all garages.

Leo A. Roy Municipal Parking Facility, 100 Market St.

A 997 space facility located in the heart of Lowell's Central Business District.  Built in 1978, the garage is used to meet the diverse needs of downtown Lowell.  This garage is currently in the midst of an expansive $3.5 million dollar restoration project set to conclude in the spring of 2017.

Lower Locks Municipal Parking Facility, 90 Warren St.

A 960 space facility located on the eastern fringe of Lowell's Central Business District.  The garage, which was built in 1985, services the needs of the UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center, Middlesex Community College, the Lowell Memorial Auditorium, Lowell District Court and the surrounding community.  This garage is currently in the midst of an expansive $3 million restoration project set to conclude in the fall of 2016.

George A. Ayotte Municipal Parking Facility, 1 Post Office Square

A 1,250 space facility located on the norther fringe of Lowell's Central Business District, built in 1988, this garage meets the demands of the Lowell High School, the Tsongas Center, and the refurbished Wannalancit mills, as well as providing parking for the surrounding community.

Joseph M. Downes, Sr. Municipal Parking Facility, 75 John St.

Completed in 1991 this 1,120 space facility is located in the heart of the Lowell Central Business District. This garage meets the demands of Middlesex Community College, the refurbished Boott Mills complex, as well as providing parking for the surrounding downtown businesses.

Built in 2009, this 950 space facility located in the JAM neighborhood of downtown Lowell meets the needs of condominium residents and surrounding businesses, such as the Lowell Community Health Center, the Registry of Motor Vehicles and Mill No. 5
