Artist & Creative Resources

Musicians, dancers, visual artists, and other entertainers are invited to apply to perform during events organized by the City of Lowell’s Office of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

The City of Lowell invites individuals to submit their favorite photos of Lowell to celebrate our 200th anniversay. Photos will be on display at City Hall from March 2nd, 2026 to March 31st, 2026. Photos may be of contemporary Lowell or from past eras. Photo must feature Lowell or represent a Lowell-based narrative in some way. A selection commitee will choose the two hundred photos for display. 

In order to install public art in the City of Lowell, a public art permit is required. The application is filed through the Office of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.

Lowell Cultural Council grants are reimbursement-based and are open to individual artists, arts organizations, community organizations and municipal agencies.

LCC Grant applications are accepted September-October.
