Sugar Sparks Bakery is celebrated their 1-year anniversary on March 15, 2026. Sugar Sparks is a two-woman show - best friends since high school blending cultures and baking for the community.
Their coconut cupcake with guava filling earned Sugar Sparks Bakery first place in the WinterFest Bakery Showcase.

Alethia’s great-grandparents emigrated from Greece to Lowell and opened the bakery in 1915, celebrating their 110th anniversary this past year. Four generations later, Olympos Bakery is still going strong as a Greek bakery built on tradition and excellence. Olympos Bakery specializes in Greek pastries, but also offers a variety of Italian treats and, of course, sandwiches, which are a customer favorite you won’t want to miss!

After relocating from Texas, Kim opened her bakery in 2021 with a simple goal: to bring the taste of fresh, homemade donuts to a community she felt deserved them. What began as a small dream quickly grew into something much more meaningful, as the people of Lowell welcomed the family with open arms from day one. Today, Kim and her family remain deeply grateful to share a little piece of home with a city that has embraced them.

They opened in 2023 at Mill No. 5, and established a permanent home on Market Street in February 2025. Pizzelle loves being part of this community because the other small business owners are so quick to collaborate, and their regulars are enthusiastic about all things food.

The Nguyen family has owned and operated several businesses in Lowell since the early 2000s, and Saigon Sandwich House and Bakery is the chapter they are most proud to share. Thanh Thanh expanded the sandwich shop with a bakery next door, offering light, delicate desserts inspired by her trip to Vietnam to study Bánh bông lan, the airy, subtly sweet Vietnamese cloud cake. Lowell is the place they love most because of the unmatched sense of community and culture.

Responding to the strong demand for a true Greek market in the Merrimack Valley, the family opened its Lowell location, owned and operated by Sophia’s daughter, Valerie, which now serves as a hub for Greek pastries, goods, and warm hospitality.
