“Loom and Legacy” depicts silhouettes of young women working in Lowell’s mills. The work honors the key role played by the mill girls in Lowell's history. Loom and Legacy welcomes visitors and residents alike to the city, while highlighting the contributions of women to Lowell.

The installation of the Loom and Legacy mural was made possible by the City of Lowell’s Public Art grant program, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.

This mural is a part of ArtUp Lowell’s Arts and Culture Trail.
