Urban Healing

The Urban Healing mural depicts “Mother Earth” holding the city together as reminder of how nature surrounds everything. Included are depictions of local plants and herbs that grow in urban settings such as milkweed, jewelweed, and yarrow. The mural was installed by Refuge Art School students and coordinated through Project LEARN’s ArtUp Initiative.

The installation of the Urban Healing mural was made possible by the City of Lowell’s Public Art grant program, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.

This mural is a part of ArtUp Lowell’s Arts and Culture Trail.
